-   (Nov 19, 2007) Bowling!!! Get out and have some fun! Bring your friends! Bowling fundraiser at Super Bowl in Canton. Friday, Nov 30th, at 6p. It's going to be amazing fun. Awesome raffle prizes (a DVD player, gift cards, an autographed football, possibly manicure at a salon, etc.). Tickets are $10 per person, or $45 for 5 people. They include snacks and drinks. Hunt down any one of us to buy tickets, or email Melissa Johns at melissaMoe@gmail.com. (If you don't know who we are, look under the Elected Members tab).

-   Elections/Last Meeting. Ladies and gentlemen, MUNSA is having elections soon. We are going to have several open positions, as some of our members are graduating, including President, Second VP, Community and Fundraising Co-Chairs, and Newsletter. You can vote if you are a member of MUNSA/NSNA (this means you've paid your yearly dues and have a current card).

IF you are running, your name must be slated (written on the bulletin board in the Take 5 lounge) by Fri, Dec 7th, 4p, along with your email address. A description of the duties for the different positions will be posted on the bulletin board so you can choose. We will vote online on Blackboard from Monday morning 12/10 to Tue midnight 12/11, and in person at our last/transition meeting Wed 12/12 at 12, in the DiPonio lounge. If you voted online, you can't vote in person, of course. :) We also need a blurb describing yourself by the end of that weekend, so the voters can get an idea of who you are.

#1. Sunday Nov. 18th from 9am -2 pm (or whatever time works for you). We will be serving a thanksgiving lunch for homeless and low income families who attend the Military Avenue Church in Detroit. They are expecting around 200 people - so we need all the help we can get.

#2. Sunday December 2nd from 9:30am -12:30 pm. Festival of Trees (main fundraiser for Children's Hospital of Michigan. We need only 13 people - so the first people to reply will get it! This one is a LOT of fun.

#3. Lastly, we will be adopting a needy family for this Christmas season. In order to raise funds, we will be having a can drive throughout the month of December. There will be collector bins in both the Take 5 & Diponio lounge. Please bring any empties you have in - every 10 cents counts!!

- (Oct 30-'07)   Fall Festival. The Fall Festival was very fun, thanks to all the faculty who put in time :), and to the all the students from all terms who attended.  

-   Meeting. We are having a meeting Tue., Oct 16th, 4pm, in Kresge. We will have a speaker come to describe a study-abroad program in London. Please feel free to bring as many people as you like. It's going to be fun.  :)  

-   APPPLEBEE'S Fundraiser. Please CLICK HERE to download and print the Applebee flyer for next Monday (Oct 22nd). If you come between noon and 10pm, and present this flyer, Applebee's will donate 20% of the bill towards MUNSA. Only valid Oct 22nd, at the 6 mile and Haggerty location. Thank you!

-   Meeting. We are having a board meeting Tuesday, Sept. 18th, at 4p, in the DiPonio Lounge. Please come and see what we're all about.

-   Join Us! Membership in MUNSA also means being a member of NSNA, as well as MNSA. By being a member, you have access to quite a few benefits. "Member of MUNSA" also looks well on any resumé. As an organization, we are very involved in our community, and are always looking for people who share our commitment to helping others. MUNSA will be having a table in the Take 5 Lounge during the second week of school. We will be giving out free Nursing t-shirts to new members signing up at that time. Reminder: there are two board positions open in MUNSA, Image & Breakthrough and Legislative Chair. If you're interested, drop by our table during Rush Week (Tue 9/11- Fri 9/14 in the Take 5).
